Indexing and Abstracting

In order to have the Tables of Contents and Abstracts of the contributions in the e-Journal and the Highlights and Insights on the European Forum included in on-line collections and with the aim of increasing their visibility and presence in web catalogues and databases, European Papers is indexed by the following International Abstracting and Indexing Services:

  • Scopus (Elsevier Scopus) is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed research literature: scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. Delivering a comprehensive overview of the world’s research output in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities, Scopus features smart tools to track, analyse and visualize research.

  • ProQuest (ProQuest) is committed to empowering researchers and librarians around the world. Through partnerships with content holders, ProQuest preserves rich, vast and varied information – whether historical archives or today’s scientific breakthroughs – and packages it with digital technologies that enhance its discovery, sharing and management. For academic and professional researchers, ProQuest provides services that enable strategic acquisition, management and discovery of information collections.

  • Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) (DOAJ), managed by a not-for-profit organisation, is an on-line directory that indexes and provides access to high quality, open access, peer-reviewed journals, which use a quality control system to guarantee their content. DOAJ aims at being the starting point for all information searches for scientific and scholarly journals, thereby increasing their visibility, ease of use, and impact.

DataCite Search (DataCite) gathers metadata for each DOI assigned to an object. The metadata is used for a large index of research data that can be queried directly to find data, obtain stats and explore connections. All the metadata is free to access and review. To showcase and expose the metadata gathered, DataCite provides an integrated search interface, where it is possible to search, filter and extract all the details from a collection of millions of records. This interface complements the OAI-PMH service, providing an actionable end-point to query DataCite's metadata collection.

  • Google Scholar (Google Scholar) provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, on-line repositories, universities and other web sites. Google Scholar helps to find relevant work across the world of scholarly research.

  • ACPN Catalogue (ACNP Catalogue) contains the bibliographic descriptions of periodicals/serials owned by the Italian libraries all over the country and covers all subject areas. The ACNP Catalogue is available online to scientific community on its own Information Retrieval system. The whole register of serials published by the "ISSN International Centre" was acquired and stored in order to simplify the catalogue update. In addition an Archive of table of contents and abstracts was realized and integrated into the ACNP catalogue. The procedure allows users to shift searching from catalogue to Archive and vice versa in a transparent manner. The authorized users can directly access the Archive user interface from the “Repertorio articoli” containing about 9 million articles, mainly derived from ISI Current Contents.

  • Dialnet (Dialnet) is a library collaboration project open to the participation of any library that wants to commit to the project. The journals are included in Dialnet by the collaborating institutions, which decide which journals to index, whether electronic or on paper. Dialnet offers a series of quality resources and services for users, libraries, authors and journal editors. One of the main goals of Dialnet is to increase the dissemination, visibility and accessibility of scientific literature, promoting free access to it.
